"Prayer is the link that connects us with God" - A.B Simpson

Hello everyone..

The auspicious varamahalakshmi vratham is on 12 Aug.. so today I have made a kalasam rangoli for decorating  pooja room with OHP sheet.... I have used acrylic paints and some sequins for decorations.. Take a look.

Introduction:

Varamahalakshmi vratham is celebrated for goddess Lakshmi, Goddess of wealth and all things we possess.. An idol of goddess Lakshmi is made in each home and pooja room is decorated in a grandeur manner like this...

Things needed:

  1. An OHP Sheet

  2. Acrylic Paints

  3. Paint Brushes

Other Essentials:
  1. An old cloth for cleaning brushes in between changing colors
  2. Clean water
  3. A mixing tray(Optional in case we want to mix certain colours)

Procedure:
The pattern is traced on a white paper and an OHP sheet is placed over the traced pattern..

The kalasam is painted with yellow and crimson acrylic paints..The coconut is given brown color and The mango leaves are colored with light green..

The outlines are drawn with black acrylic color..

Now we can decorate with stickers, beads and sequins.. There are no specific requirements for sequins and decor materials..Any thing available works good.. And we can decorate with anything according to our creativity....

Here I have used golden tubes..

 Square and Round Mirror Stickers

Red color thilagam shaped sequins..

Finished with half beads-cream color.. and stone line for top and bottom of the kalasam..

I pasted glitter tape as border. the finished pattern looks like this,,
