Thanjavur thalaiyatti bommai(thalai aatti means shaking or moving head) is a beautiful artwork done using clay and iron rods. This is designed with three separate parts.
The skirt part, the body and the head part are made to balance on the leg part. It looks as if the whole doll is dancing.
I tried to hand draw this doll and this was the result.
This painting is done using acrylic paint on poplin cloth.
